Rambouillet’s Castle : Part-2

By   June 1, 2012

Go to Partie-1.

How to go there by train:

Arriving from Paris- Gare de Lyon, just go straight on to the big exit (not the other smaller exit on the right) on Boulevard Diderot.
Then out of the Gare the Lyon, just cross the first street in front of a sauerkraut seller maitre Kanter restaurant.
Then go just a little left, you can see a bus stop (even from the Gare the Lyon exit you can see it), it’s the 91 stop, so wait the bus here (1€90 the ticket). It is 2 minutes to go there.

Once you are in the 91, just wait the last stop (about 15 minutes out of the rush hours), then go out at the Montparnasse SNCF station.

Go inside the station, and buy a Transilien ticket on the Transilien counter for arround Paris destination (you can have reduction, DON’T go on the “grandes lignes” counter). The counter it’s straight on at the right.

Take the direct to Rambouillet – it will bring you here in half an hour(if you want to visit Versailles, it’s the same, just go out of the train one station before Rambouillet – the Versailles Chantier’s station). The price is 7€40. Better take a ticket for the whole day, it will be cheaper.

You can take the RER too (metro station), but you couldn’t see Paris as you will be in the subway.
